Therapy Session Rates:

Individual Therapy

Initial 60-Minute Assessment - $200

Ongoing 50-Minute Sessions -  $175

Couples/Family Therapy

Initial 60-Minute Assessment -  $250

Ongoing 50-Minute Sessions -  $225

Before scheduling your first appointment we recommend calling your insurance provider directly and asking these questions to determine your benefits:​

  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?

  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

  • What is my copay/co-insurance?

  • Does my plan cover couples/family therapy?

  • Does my plan cover Telehealth appointments?

Out-of-Network Plans:

For all other insurance plans, CA FAMILY THERAPY is considered an out-of-network provider. If you have a PPO plan you may be able to take advantage of your out-of-network benefits. Fees would be collected at the time of service and you can later submit a claim to your insurance company to take advantage of your out-of-network benefits. Your insurance company will mail you a check for the portion you are reimbursed for. 

The amount that your insurance will cover depends on your particular plan’s benefits. If you would like to understand this ahead of time, I highly recommend calling your insurance company directly and asking these questions:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits?

  • Is an outpatient office visit for psychotherapy part of my out-of-network benefits? 

  • Is Telehealth covered?

  • Do I have an applicable deductible that I have to meet before my benefits kick in for therapy?

  • If so, what is my deductible and once my deductible has been met, how much will insurance cover?

  • Is there a fee limit my insurance allows? If so, what is the limit?

  • Do I have an out-of-pocket max? If so, what is it?

  • How do I submit out-of-network claims?
